So Long, London

I think one of the things I find it the hardest to do with tech and coding is concentrate.

I get so distracted by everything. I get the work done in the end but I don't want to work that way anymore. 

I want to work in a way that is focused and that always prioritises everything that is the most important to me.

One of the techniques I got for this is from my former Product Manager, Owen

And that is to always, always ask: IS THIS GOING TO HELP ME WITH MY GOAL OF BECOMING A SOFTWARE ENGINEER? Or I guess now that I am one, IMPROVING/GROWING AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER? The thing that people don't see about me is THE ABSOLUTELY INSANE AMOUNT OF WORK I HAD TO PUT IN TO GET HERE. I'm not talking about training to become a Software Engineer. Although that too.

But before becoming a software engineer, long long before, prior to even starting working or even obtaining my first degree (I have 3), I had to fight so so hard to progress and succeed. And so do you know what? I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CONCENTRATE.

I HAVE JUST DECIDED THAT I DESERVE TO CONCENTRATE.

 Hello from Susanna Codes! Hi everyone,  My name is Susanna and I'm a 28-year-old aspiring software engineer from Brighton! Yosemite I'll never forget the first time I head the song Yosemite by Lana del Rey. I very nearly clicked away.  It was quite near the start of my Software Engineering journey, right near when I start learning the Front-End/Web Development. I was listening to Arcadia by LDR before, maybe twice, and then Blue Banisters came on. I nearly clicked away in the first 30 seconds but I forced myself to keep listening anyway.  I'll never forget how that song has made me feel. It became my song of 2022 even though I only discovered it in November. I can still listen to it every day and get that complete sense of wonder and of awe that I felt the first time that I heard it. That ending of the song is completely amazing, and it just completely just blows me away every time. One song is over, another one in This morning's blog post references a song by Brainstorm, a Latvian band, called "Thunder Without Rain." I don't have a lot of time because I am going out to the cinema and I have other plans this evening but I wanted to write something quick. I love this song so much and I love the bridge so much. You can't find it on Spotify I don't think but it's on YouTube here. I took about 7 photos of myself in a room full of laser beams. You'll have to forgive me as I plan to use all 7 of them in blog posts - they all have colour differences. Some obvious. Some subtle.
