Texas is hot, I can be cold

„I’m gonna do it my way, it will be alright”. This quote and the title come from Kacey Musgraves. Slow burn. 

But I don’t wanna talk about that. I wanna talk about the way it feels to climb to the top of the hill near my house and see a wind turbine. I wanna talk about how it feels to run to another part of that hill and see an internet tower. I want to talk about the light flashes of the wind farms at night and I want to talk about the hydroelectric dams and I want to talk about how much I love nature and all of the renewable energy and water and telecommunications infrastructure that exists within nature. I want to talk about what it feels like to be a software engineer in all of that and how it means so much to me.

I want to talk about how hard it is to be neurodivergent in the workplace but the support I have received at Kraken is quite simply through the roof and is quite simply out of this world. It has been so so hard for me but I do it all for the wind farms. 

I do it all quite simply out of passion and out of love and out of love for the wind farms.

A gentle reminder to myself to remember to start with the acceptance criteria for my tickets when I read them
