Thinking about how I love hydroelectric dams
Thinking about how I love hydroelectric dams
“One single thread of gold tied me to you”
Coming back from retreat is always hard but it’s definitely been easier this time than all the previous times.
The more I come back from retreats the more I realise that we never leave our retreats. The joy and the bliss is always there.
Nevertheless here are some resources:
- I have a list of all of the recordings from the retreat. Although my teacher sadly got ill and had to miss some sessions/leave early, there are a still a good few sessions we actually recorded that I really liked and even some of the replacement sessions were amazing as well
- There were two Q and A questions I really liked too - mine and a friends
- A book by my meditation teacher - I’m looking forward to reading it - a new one
- A book by him I have two copies of at home - I’d like to reread it
- My dad got me a beautiful book of prayers as an early Christmas present and I really look forward and hope to read those
- I have my beautiful new notebook worth the golden rope on it “one single thread of gold tied me to you” - I got it in Lincoln with the voucher I got for best Halloween costume at work - I am using it for improving my problem solving skills
- I am going to be naughty and maybe buy one more notebook in Foyles on my next trip to London whoops
- I have an online retreat coming up at home and I can’t wait
- I am gonna volunteer at a day in London for my meditation teacher
- I have my podcast with Dave to listen to
- I have my main call with my boss to listen back to
- With possible code examples
- I have a testing one to possibly listen back to again
- WE ARE GONNA DO MORE CALLS
And so back to about the hydroelectric dams. I love them so so so much. I love them. I once did a little project on them in my free time for fun and made a book on them. I wish I still had them now. In fact I made two! I went to The hydroelectric dams in the French mountains once.
In the Vosges at the Lac de la Lande when I was 14/15 and 15/16.
They still haunt my dreams
Back to reality soon. More Python. More work. Need to learn Decques. What as a decque? Need to finish listening to Dave’s podcast. Need to fill out my “thread of gold” notebook. With notes from Dave
Need some A2 paper…
