What 500 blog posts means to me, and how much I hope that it will show you how much I care
"I wanna live, I wanna give, I've been a miner for a heart of gold..."
Neil Young searched for a heart of gold. I searched for a way to express my love and my care into this world. But most of all I searched for a way to show how much I care about Software Engineering. From the moment I started doing this, I knew that I was born to be doing this. Well okay then, that's not true. It took about two months. But:
It's all about the mission.
The passion. The story. It's all about this journey that I'm on.
I don't know where this journey ends.
I can say things like:
- I don't want to go into management
- I never wanna be a manager; I wanna be an IC forever
- I am going to be a hands on coder forever for sure
And while I hope that might be true. And it might be true.
I don't know where this story ends. I only know:
- How much I care
- How passionate I am
- How much I care
- How much I have given time after time to stay at, be in, or join renewable energy companies
And because I am on a sick day and my head is spinning and I feel tired (oops, flu) I am going to stop there but for goodness' sake I hope that every Python course, every JavaScript course, every HTML, CSS, git, React, TypeScript, Django, Regex, SQL and AI course means something and for the fact that every reflective journal, every wish that I make and every poster I put up on my wall and Yosemite sticker that I buy and stranger I talk to on the bus about software engineering
Shows you how much I love this, how much I care
But it will never ever do it justice
