Landing on the Ground & Revising My Beloved Water Tech

Landing on the Ground & Revising My Beloved Water Tech

I don't choose my passion.

I'm serious.

I dance, and when I dance, I think "I love to dance." But nothing, NOTHING, can lift me up, can light me up, just like thinking about water tech can, like writing about water tech can. I don't know who I am anymore.

I have just come back from two weeks on the road, working from Leeds and London.

Swimming pools, trains, restaurants, cinemas, bridges, tubes, and most of all - my best friend, my little sister - nothing but the best of times, and now I came back to Brighton and felt like there was nothing for me in Brighton.

And so I danced the whole day. And when I danced enough - and mine is a spiritual dance - then I come back to the water tech.

And this is what always happens. I dance, and I come back to water tech.

Major Thoughts in Water Tech

One of the bottom lines of AI in water is that it can help systems analyse vast amounts of data in real time. Manual monitoring is slower and more risky. The true effectiveness of water data is when we can act on it in real time, and AI allows us to do so.

As always, one of the biggest things that blows my mind in water tech is the fact that we can monitor and reduce energy consumption.

The Combinations of Data that AI can Analyse

AI can take into account and combine three types of data that make it very very powerful:
  • historical data, like historical patterns of water consumption
  • future data, like weather forecasts
  • real data, like pipe pressure
The past, the present and the future.

They are all there, they are all accounted for. There are different processes and areas of water tech to account for:
  • Water Management
  • Water Treatment
  • Water Distribution
  • Predictive Maintenance.

I think water quality and what comes out of water treatment is going to be really big going forwards.

Final Thoughts

I miss London.

I miss Leeds.

I miss the road. I don't have much to be here for. I love my flatmate and my dance classes.

I love my kind friendly office and I love the sea. I love my part of town.

But this place has never fully inspired me. I mean yes it does and it doesn't. I feel lonely. I miss my family I guess. Oh well. So much has happened since I moved here. My career has transformed beyond my wildest dreams. My spirituality has moved beyond what I ever even thought was possible. And I have gotten back into dancing again.
