Life Hacks to Simplify My Life
It’s not that kind of blog but my spirit animal is a deer. Hundred percent. Now the one thing I remember about this is that deer navigate their life with grace and ease. Safe to say the last few years has been anything but graceful and easy although I do admire the incredible strength and dignity with which I have handled everything. Now one thing I have in mind is life hacks. With AuDHD the world can be almost impossible. Never mind with seizures etc. So as I’m taking some time off to rest and recover I am thinking even more about life hacks.
Most I am already doing or well underway. Here are my thoughts.
All of this is with the aim of successfully continuing with my beautiful software engineering career of course. So here we go
Here’s some of them:
- Cannot easily tidy a bedroom, struggle to clean if there are things in the way - own as little stuff as possible, have as much clear empty space as possible to make it easier to clean - “it is the empty space that makes it liveable.” - Tao Te Ching
- Hate cooking, feel ill from most foods. Spend way too much money eating out. Solution is to go mostly raw, fruit is a natural fast food, fruit has protein in it believe it or not and after years of experimenting is I believe what we were naturally designed to eat - but I am still experimenting so please check back in a few years or so
- Have really low energy - again I think fruit is the answer here and supplements. Try to find hacks here. So sometimes I feel too guilty to spend money on nice fruit but then I eat out anyway with that money. Try and remember that some nice exotic fruits and juices make a big difference and go a long way. Try to eat cheaper foods as staples as well. Like bananas and dates. Try and think about meals out social events etc - sometimes you can still order healthy salads or juices in restaurants
- Spend way too much time on YouTube - have started listening to Beethoven with the lights off instead. Slowly but steadily and surely this is making me feel so much better
- Absolutely cannot hack the mess which is eating dinners, usually am starving but would rather continue with raw foods, if I ever hack this one I’ll let you know but it’s either more fruit or a salad or some other raw stuff or high raw stuff like nori rolls or rice paper spring rolls etc. Have been cooking some stuff but it makes me feel ill. I also can’t sleep if I eat too late and so am desperately trying to figure out what I could eat in the office
