“You Need Some Peace To Heal”

“You Need Some Peace To Heal”

Lately I have been working with a new natural medicine practitioner in addition to some people that I already work with.
I may have misquoted him.

I think he said “you need some calm to heal.” That might have been the same thing. Anyway I noticed this. Before I went on holiday I was stuck in a really exhausting cycle of seizures and then getting home and then recovery from the exhaustion of getting home and seizures. Going back home to Luxembourg allows me to break the cycle. My nervous system can really rest when I am back there. So I am trying to replicate this as much as possible
  • The biggest thing that helps me to relax are guided meditations with my long term meditation teacher, Rupert Spira. I have a subscription to his streaming platform. As my mum once said - some people would give anything to have a subscription to that platform. So I am trying to do his meditations in the evening or weekend when I can. They just totally and utterly relax me. They are pretty much the only thing that do
  • Going to bed early. Because I had a treatment I went to bed really early last night - I lay down at 9 and basically fell asleep at 9.30 (I was exhausted!!!). I woke up today feeling like something that was missing had come back to me. Energy. Rest. Isn’t lying down at 9 amazing? Some people even do it at 8.30 (like one boss I once had, amazing guy). Given my first alarm rings at 6.45 this is not a silly idea. I’d like to get up earlier too. But let me keep on trying
  • Doing a guided meditation or sound bath on YouTube. Yesterday I did a sacral chakra healing meditation. Definitely my weakest chakra. But also the ultimate “Susanna” chakra. There’s a beautiful paradox there. Like, when I become more of myself, I will be healed. When I was 6 I picked a colour for my room from a colour wheel. The colour I picked was light orange. Like a peach. That remains my rooms colour until this day. And I love it… there are also other chakra meditations I could do from the series, and sound baths, and so on…
I have become better at self care. I love foot baths. I love luxurious long showers with my new filtering shower head - chlorine free water changes everything. Softer hair, softer skin. And water that is easier to breathe in.

I love to add essential oils to my shower gels. Like I have a forest one right now and I add cypress and cedar oils. Then I smell like a tree

It took a lifetime.
But God knows it was worth the wait. Thank you

Also I hugged the trees on the way into the office today - it was the perfect act of self care activity - thank you
