Five Things That Are Healing Me Right Now

Five Things That Are Healing Me Right Now

It’s the middle of the night and I’m listening to beautiful Sanskrit mantras. Lately I’m obsessed with Sanskrit mantras.

I have always been into them but it’s definitely taken off a lot recently. Good. So here are five things that are really healing me. Sorry I am going to have to be vague. If you work with me or actually know me and you would like to know more then please do reach out to me. I would be more than happy to tell you
  1. Working with a private doctor. I have a really amazing private doctor. I am speaking to him on next Tuesday. He is always really amazing at coming up with solutions. Thank you
  2. I am starting private trauma informed yoga. I need to do it alone at this moment. Maybe when it gets easier I’ll do it in a group. Trauma informed yoga helps survivors of extreme trauma to make choices. Choices that were taken away from us at the time - we learn that we can once again be in control of our bodies
  3. I don’t want to say too much but I am working with a new healer type person in Brighton. I am very very happy and excited to be working with her. Thank you. I feel enormously privileged
  4. Dancing. Oh come on. I love to dance. I skipped class on Friday as I was ill. I may skip class tomorrow as I’ve had such a late night. But normally I can’t be stopped. Normally my twice weekly dance classes help me and heal me a lot. And I love my dance workshops too
  5. Sanskrit. Singing and chanting in Sanskrit. Singing mantras. Going to kirthan. They are really healing me oh my god. Here are some of my favourites
  • Lingashtakam of course - specially the version I like by Bhakti Marga Music and Paramahamsa Vishwananda. I am learning it and it’s so hard. But I’ve got verse one down, verse two is nearly there and verses three and four are in progress. There are eight verses in total. This prayer is totally magical. I watch myself being healed forever as I sing it
  • It’s hard to compare after that. But I like Sarveshwari by Edo and Jo. I also learned Opening by the Wah.
