Rethinking My Relationship To Alan Turing

Rethinking My Relationship To Alan Turing

As everyone will know I always idolised Alan Turing so so so much.
And I don't see why not. There's no reason not to, right? This idolisation is what got me through 12 hours of work a day all day every day in 2024. I had to work so hard to fill backend and AI gaps. And as I left my office at 9 pm every day I would play "Alan Turing's Legacy" as I walked down the road off of my phone. And I wouldn't feel bad about missing the summer

I can still idolise Alan Turing. But maybe not in the lens of overworking. (And to be honest idolising anyone isn't good). But maybe I can see him as a friend or as a companion on the journey. Because software engineering is still going to be so hard even if I don't overdo it. So seeing him as a friend and a companion on the journey

As I stick to my accessibility techniques
As I try to navigate my job
As I try to just remember what I have to do in the day

Maybe that can be enough.
